Tissa Godavitarne, Acme People Search’s Home Business Owner Explains The Importance of Branding

Tissa Godavitarne, Acme People Search’s home business owner and non-guru explains the importance of branding yourself and your business.  Most beginners don’t understand the concept of branding.  They think that they can join a “earn money at home” program and begin making money overnight.

Well, for seasoned internet marketers, we all understand that this just isn’t possible.  We understand that building a business online is the same as building a brick and mortar business.  However, we also understand that by choosing affiliate marketing, we won’t have the hassles of a brick and mortar business.  We understand that if we work hard upfront that we can have a life of luxury almost on autopilot.  But anyway, back to the subject here.

Branding incorporates a few different concepts.  First, you need to brand your business by choosing the correct domain name.  Yes, this makes a big difference and even Google thinks so.  You see, by incorporating what your niche is about, you should start by choosing a domain name related to your niche.  This will help in getting indexed by Google.

Secondly, branding includes building relationships.  This is probably the biggest concept of branding.  You need to learn how to get people to trust you.  You do this by providing free and quality information.  You need to come across as a leader, as the alpha of your niche.  You need to let people know that you know what you are talking about.  So, how do you go about doing this?  Well, by picking a domain and posting free relevant and quality content.   How else will you connect with the billions of people surfing the net every day and every moment of each day?

Once people begin to trust you they will opt in to join your email list.  Once they have chosen to opt-in, you then provide more free information via a newsletter or something.  You are gaining more of their trust, by not sending product after product for you are sending them information on your common interest, your niche.  Once people trust you, it is then that they will consider to buy product from you.

So, anyway, there is a lot to be said about branding, but for now, I don’t want to waste anymore of your precious time with my rants.  So without further ado, click here to listen to what the big man himself, Tissa Godavitarne, Acme People Search’s home business owner, has to said about branding.
