MyLife Affiliate Program Terminated For All
WOW! What a shocker and lack of communication from MyLife, a people search engine. First, on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, all affiliates received an email, that quite frankly, was just crappy. It was 3 sentences with no explanation. Here is the exact email:
“Dear Valued Affiliate,
Effective today, all MyLife affiliates are restricted from advertising on Facebook and MySpace. Please make the change on your end immediately. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Thank You”
Then on Friday, April 9, 2010, here is the kicker in the butt email all affiliates received:
Dear Affiliate,
Due to recent changes in the marketplace, MyLife is shifting away from affiliate marketing. With that being said, we are discontinuing our Affiliate Program. All accounts and links will be deactivated as of Tuesday, April 13th. Please make the appropriate changes on your end.
Thank you for being a valued partner for MyLife.
Best Regards,
MyLife.com”
I was like “woah” and then “what”. Just like that! All the time and money affiliates spent to build the reputation of MyLife and all they do is provide an impersonal, ungratifying email that gives you only 4 days noticed. Actually, only 2 business days. And by the way, this was sent at the end of the workday, probably to avoid all concerns and other comments that they would receive from affiliates. And did you noticed how they make no mention of when the final payment will be made?
Really, how professional is this organization? They just send out an email, that just ends the affiliate program abruptly and with no explanations or heart what so ever. How terrible. My guess, is they sold out to one of the major people search engines and just don’t give a damn about all the people that supported them through the years and built their reputation to even be made such an offer. Now, I don’t know if this is the case, they sold out, but whatever their reasons are, it is just plain crappy the way they are handling the whole closing of the affiliate program.
There are literally, hundreds of thousands of affiliates, who most have probably built a blog or business, around the MyLife people search engine, in order to earn commissions to support him or herself and their families. MyLife abruptly shuts them down without proper notification and definately without providing proper time for these affiliates to find an alternative replacment. How terrible!
I personally just think the closing of the MyLife affiliate program has been handled poorly. I will never ever do business with MyLife or any of the owners of this company, if the opportunity should ever present itself in the future.
But anyway, for those affiliates of Acme People Search, where the people search engine is integrated with MyLife, have no fears. Tissa Godavitarne, the owner and creator of Acme People Search, has found a replacement. It will be discussed during today’s webinar. So, watch my blog for updates. Once I have all the details of the replacement, I will post about it. Knowing Tissa, I am sure it will be far greater and bigger than MyLife. Stay tuned!!

I was making about 4k a month with mylife and have been for several years. I was very shocked to recieve that email and be given 72 hours to find a replacement. This wouldn’t be such a big deal except that I cannot find a suitable replacement that gives me the same ROI as mylife.
Hi NowWhat,
I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Fortunately for me, the program that I am in that incorporates 10+ income streams into one platform, was already in the process of replacing MyLife with another vendor. It was replaced with TrialPay. You can read all about it within this blog post: TrialPay Replaces MyLife. Since you were making $4k a month, you may want to check out this program. Here is the link: APS-Total Transparency. I hope you find something to replace that income. Much success to you.
